The meaning of DhärMa is “protection”, a type of Karma that helps us keep up with happiness and peace in ourselfes.

Its represented with the circle of the life.

It started with a group of friends that liked music and going to festivals. In those circumstances they decided to form a band. Influenced by rock music.

The first instruments that joined the band were: drums, bass, guitar and vocals.

We composed music and lyrics to go with it, and with a bit of luck we managed to have interviews with local televisions. A member of the band (guitar) decided to leave because of personal maters.

Davinia (vocal), Sonia (drums) and Nela (bass) kept on going and they soon found new components for the group: Tamira (guitar), Kar (flute) and Mabel (guitar 2 and percussion). Kar and Mabel came from England were they had a band called “Arena”. They weren’t looking for a band but they found something interesting in this proyect so they joined, to start a new style formed by six girls.

In a cuestion of weeks we got the opportunity of playing our first concert in Estepona’s Beach (“Festival Explorarte 2007”) in a multicultural festival. In wich it had a big selection of diferents types of art.

Not long from are first concert we got more chances of playing in other places (Los Barrios – “Por Amor Al Arte 2007”-, Algeciras – “28 Lunas”…), people started to get in to our music, and we were lucky enoght to find Marcelo (Xsunami band) that made us our first recorded cd. We started to record our cd, meanwhile we had some more interviews with television and one in a newspaper “Europa Sur”.

DhäRMa is a mix in between styles like alternative rock, funky, metal, reggae, ska…

We have all ready finished the recording, now its just time and effort to find a small place in this world.

On Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th of January many familiar areas around Gibraltar saw a transformation into scenes from the Second World War. Experienced re-enactment groups fully equipped with authentic German and British uniforms of the period fought until Gibraltar fell into the hands of the superior German forces. All of this exciting action was filmed for a documentary about a secret German plan to capture Gibraltar during World War Two, namely Operation Felix. The documentary is being produced by Martin Nuza for Gold Productions Studios.

From a full scale assault and battle at Eastern Beach, to the capture of the rock, the seeking out of enemy troops inside the tunnel system, an ordinary daily scene at Secretaries Lane and a visit from military high command to the German Head quarters at Bleak House.

All of the action has been captured in this series of stunning images by professional photographer Jim Crone from discovergibraltar.com, Jim was the official photographer on set for Gold Productions Studios.

These pictures are the first of many that will be used for the purpose of the documentary and have been produced in the style and appearance of photography in the 1941 period.

I would like to personally thank all those who helped in making the weekend shoot of the documentary Felix in Gibraltar such a success.
